I made an appointment to see a doctor and the 1st red flag was the lady who answered the phone was very condescending in tone. I said something because I felt like she was being a little too sharp and it was unnecessary. This was not a good first impression but I really needed to see a doctor. The receptionist was nice so I figured the visit might actually go well. The intake nurse was nice but a little too comfortable. She made remarks about my family history and etc. Nothing disparaging and im cool but for all she knew I could have taken offense. Dr. Born was okay but she keep pushing me to surgery for my issues which is crazy because they were minor. For instance I have small boil and she was saying surgery. The final straw was the prescription she wanted to prescribe. I told them 4 times which pharmacy I use. I wrote it down, I confirmed with the intake nurse, the doctor and with another nurse walking out the door. I go to pick my prescription a couple days later and they never sent it! All of that and I get a bill for almost $200. I feel like it was a waste. I paid for unprofessionalism ,the run around and to this day I have the same issues.
This office refused to continue to see my son because he no longer had a private insurance as his primary coverage just TennCare. They are listed as a primary care providers for TennCare and when TennCare called the office they were told that they would continue to see my son since he was an established patient but when I called to schedule an appointment they said they would not see my son even though he was established because TennCare is his only insurance now. Talk about saying one thing and doing another ????
My visit was because I had hit my head rather hard and experienced headaches for a week then felt faint one night while sitting down. The physician’s assistant was awesome! Very thorough, professional and knowledgeable and had a very caring manner. I appreciated all she did to find out what was going on with my health.
